The Week Ahead
We are looking at a busy week ahead in the US and SA. In the former, we will be in receipt of durable goods orders numbers for September and the advance Q3 2017 US GDP reading. We deal with our projections in some detail. In South Africa, the macro scene will be dominated by Minister Gigaba’s debut medium-term budget policy statement. We list a number of “what-to-watch” numbers, critical to the response of rating agencies to the presentation.
